I discovered that there was a real meaning behind those verses I had to learn by heart whilst with the JWs.

My name is Dr.Sanju Thomas Abraham. I am from Coimbatore, India. I was in fellowship with the brethren in Coimbatore Brethren Church. Now am here in London to do my postgraduate fellowship program in Dentistry. I am married to Nancy and we are blessed with a 4 year old daughter Rachel.

I was blessed to be born into a family of Believers. I accepted Christ as my Saviour when I was 13 years old and was baptized by immersion at the age of 16. From then God has been using me in different capacities spiritually both inside and outside the church. I was blessed to teach Sunday School to children, Later I was teaching the Youth of my Church. I am also part of Haggai an interdenominational Christian organisation, a Christian Leadership training program - training local leaders to preach Gospel locally.

I consider being in fellowship in Bermondsey Gospel Hall as part of God’s plan for me. I was looking for a fellowship near to the place where I am staying, so I was going through different websites, not having much knowledge of the vicinity. I was missing my fellowship back in India but being at the Gospel Hall was as if was at my home church. I was now with a group of very active believers, back in the fold of brothers and sisters who were enjoying their walk with God. Being a part of the Bermondsey Gospel Hall family I feel so privileged, especially the fellowship we have inside and outside of our Church.

Every week I am invited to the house of different family who welcome us for lunch. It’s a good time to get to know them as a family and also a time to have good food specially for those of us who are living alone.

The bible studies which we have on Tuesdays I find extremely useful and also the sermons on Sunday and the Gospel meeting on Sunday evening. I wish I had more time to attend more activities of the Church.

When I complete my studies and return to India, I am definitely going to miss the fellowship here. I am delighted to think that if this is the way we fellowship here, how beautiful it’s going to be in heaven when we all chosen by God will be there.

I would recommend any one who is already in fellowship in different places or who wants to know more about Christ to come to Bermondsey Gospel Hall.
